| Hoteliers will be able to present their proposals through Hostecar while the State of Alarm lasts | The councilors of Finance, Esperanza Nieto, and Vía Pública, Juan Pedro Torralba, held a virtual meeting this morning with the people in charge of Hostecar, led by its president, Juan José López, to advance the measures that the City Council is going to adopt in benefit of the hospitality sector. Among the most outstanding actions is the possibility of temporarily expanding the terraces of the hotel premises.
“Our hoteliers now need all the help we are able to provide them to reopen their businesses.
The expansion of the terraces is essential for many of them and we are going to work together with Hostecar to be able to do it provisionally ”, explained the mayor of Vía Pública. In the coming days, the City Council will make the necessary forms available to hoteliers to start processing their requests in the most agile way possible.
For this, each hotelier must present his proposal for expansion, based on the terrace license card that he already has, explaining the new distribution. In fact, while the Alarm State continues, Hostecar has offered its infrastructure in an altruistic way to facilitate communication with the local administration to all the hoteliers, whether associated or not, to collect their proposals and study each case. FISCAL MEASURESLikewise, the councilor for Finance, Esperanza Nieto, has agreed with Hostecar the possibility of publishing a decalogue with all the fiscal measures that the City Council has implemented to make the reopening less expensive. "We have already approved a partial exemption from the garbage tax, by which the establishments forced to close by the decree will only have to pay 14.30 euros and even those who cannot cope can request the complete exemption of the tax through the Hidrogea Social Fund ”, Nieto recalled.
