The professor of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), Horacio Sánchez Reinoso, died today in Cartagena, at the age of 48, as a result of a disease that was diagnosed months ago.
Horacio Sánchez, professor in the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering and researcher of the Manufacturing Engineering group, was born in Cartagena in 1971.He studied at the Franciscan College.
Industrial Engineer and Doctor from the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
He completed his training at Georgia Tech.
The teacher founded and led the MotoStudent competition group from its foundation in the 2008/2009 academic year to two years ago, and has always been involved in the team's operation.
The UPCT Board of Directors has made public the recognition of the work carried out at the University for so many years by this professor, who has taught in Cartagena since 1999, and has expressed his affection to his family.
The director of the Industrial School, Patricio Franco, has regretted his loss and has highlighted the enormous work that Horacio Sánchez has carried out during all these years training so many promotions of industrial technical engineers and industrial engineers at the UPCT.And he has also highlighted that he is a teacher highly appreciated by his students for his close treatment and for his excellent teaching work.
Horacio Sánchez leaves a widow and a two-year-old daughter.Rest in peace.
