Civil Protection has delivered 8,500 personal protective equipment to short and long distance trains as well as urban and intercity buses in the municipality, for the first two days of said phase.In total, 3,000 masks have been delivered for the buses, and it will be the driver himself who will provide them to the user when he gets on the bus.
Another 1,300 of these personal protective equipment have been provided at the railway station and 300 for the FEVE station.

The central government has provided us with these masks that, from today, will be mandatory for those who use public transport, "explained the Councilor for Citizen Security, Juan Pedro Torralba.The personal protective equipment will be replaced when they are exhausted and there will also be periodic and random inspections by the Civil Protection and Local Police to, on the one hand, verify that the standard is being complied with, and on the other, replace the masks when necessary ."We started to see the light at the end of the tunnel but it is very important that we continue to maintain social distance and comply with the rules to avoid a rebound in the virus," concluded Torralba.
