| All of the municipally owned educational centers are being cleaned and disinfected during the state of alarm | The Cartagena City Council is undertaking intense disinfection work in municipally owned schools and educational centers.
All of the municipally owned buildings for Early Childhood, Primary and Special Education are being subjected to these tasks, as part of the actions carried out to keep the municipality clean and disinfected during the COVID19 pandemic. Thus, employees of the cleaning concessionary company of municipal educational centers dependent on the Department of Education, are working on the disinfection and maintenance of the centers.
For this reason, the disinfection work is being continuous and includes both the interior spaces of the buildings, such as classrooms and hallways, as well as the exteriors, so that courtyards and playgrounds and sports areas of the schools are also undergoing treatment."We want the buildings that our little ones tend to go to daily during the school year to be in full condition when the situation of the pandemic allows the confinement to be lifted," said the Councilor for Education, Irene Ruiz.In this way, "the centers are undergoing intense and exhaustive disinfection work, both in their interior and exterior spaces," he said, while thanking the workers for their work to ensure the safety of Cartagena.
