| The traditional informative event is re-adapted to online format due to the coronavirus crisis | The doors of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) are closed during confinement, but the information windows keep them open.More than 140 pre-university students participate tomorrow, Saturday, in the first Virtual Open Doors Day offered by the educational institution.An appointment, readapted by the coronavirus crisis, after the suspension of the face-to-face event that was scheduled to take place on March 14.
During the online meeting, which will take place from 10:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m., UPCT professors, students and service managers will offer information to future students and their families.
More than half of those enrolled are 2nd Baccalaureate students.Most of them reside in the Murcia metropolitan area, followed by the Cartagena region.23 people from other autonomous communities have also registered, the majority from the Valencian Community, and from the neighboring provinces belonging to Castilla-La Mancha and Andalusia.
The information will be offered through Microsoft's Teams platform, which is used by UPCT professors to deliver online tutoring.The different international mobility programs, scholarships, internships, languages, volunteering and the current situation of the admission process for the next course will be discussed, among other topics.
The Conference will begin with a welcome at 10:00 am.Between 10:10 and 10:30, participants will be able to access the virtual room where a general talk about the UPCT is given.From 10:30 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m., the heads of the different centers will be connected to respond to questions that interest enrollees about the degrees they teach, subjects, work opportunities, work methods or laboratory practices, among other topics.

Throughout the day the different virtual rooms will be open where all those interested can answer their questions.There will also be a virtual tour of the different UPCT facilities, as well as videos and images of the University.
