| The financial donation is intended to cover the needs of patients without financial resources affected by COVID-19 | The SABIC Spain Foundation has collaborated with the Holy and Royal Hospital of Charity, known in the area of ??Cartagena as Hospital de los “Pinos” to cover some of the hospital's needs and to be able to adequately care for the more than one hundred and thirty patients currently admitted .The donation will go towards the improvement of its services, purchase of hospital clothing for the hospitalized and some necessary furniture.

The hospital plays a very important role among people in need and with few resources.

It is in charge of carrying out an initial medical evaluation to determine the clinical situation and the treatment, maintenance and medication needs of the patients.

The patients are people without financial resources and in many social cases, most do not have a family or do not have their support.Miguel Pereda Hernández, Medical Director of the hospital thanks “the donation that SABIC has been making for the poor patients admitted to the Hospital for eight years.

All help is good and more in these moments of great anxiety that we are experiencing that affects more those people who are more unprotected ”.Juan Alemany, the Director of the SABIC complex in Cartagena has stated: “SABIC, through its Foundation, wants to do its bit with society in general and especially with people in a difficult situation, especially in times as difficult as that we are living as a consequence of COVID-19 ”.Since 2012 the SABIC industrial complex in Cartagena has been collaborating with the Royal Hospital of Charity through financial donations that allow small improvements to be made to the service and its facilities.This collaboration, now assumed by The SABIC Spain Foundation, responds to its commitment to the neediest people in the municipality of Cartagena within the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility action program.The SABIC Spain Foundation has among its main priorities in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility its commitment to the Community, actively collaborating in a wide range of volunteer actions, donations and cultural activities aimed at contributing voluntarily to social, economic and environmental improvement .
