The Official College of Nursing, after learning of the distribution of unapproved mask among the health personnel of the Hospital of Santa Lucía in Cartagena, reports that: We consider it intolerable that situations such as the one we are experiencing occur when the result of them represents such a significant risk to the lives of our professionals. It is necessary to carry out the necessary diagnostic tests on professionals who have been affected by this negligence because this must be an essential requirement for them to continue working. We demand that, without delay, EPIS be endowed, tests be carried out and how many protection measures are required for all workers in health centers. It is intolerable that our professionals, the silent workers who are standing up and fighting daily against this virus that has already killed so many people, are exposed to states of defenselessness. The Ministry of Health must clarify responsibilities and demand the necessary explanations for the distribution of the masks of its supplier, the company Garry Galaxy, which lack the required certification and which has led, only in our Region, to the isolation of a large number of Health workers without forgetting that the final significance of this serious negligence will be known in a few days. We cannot tolerate the lives of our colleagues in any way. The Nursing College of the Region of Murcia reiterates its thanks to all the professionals who, day by day, serve in health centers and especially to the nurses who are performing an extraordinary function.
THANK YOU for your commitment and dedication despite the risks you face in your work environments.
