| The classical music competition for young performers of the Region, organized by the Cartagena City Council together with the Conservatory of Music, has also been postponed due to the health crisis | The Classical Music Contest for Young Performers in the Region of Murcia, Between Strings and Metals, promoted by the Cartagena City Council, through its Youth Department, together with the city's Conservatory of Music, due to the health crisis and after evaluating the option that least affects the work that the participants of the current call have been carrying out throughout this year, has decided to postpone the 23rd Edition to 2021.Thus, there will be new bases on which work is already underway, and which will cover all those aspects that to a certain extent may have harmed some of the contestants.Consequently, the Closing Gala of the event, scheduled for April 30, moves to December 22 where the different groups of the Conservatory of Cartagena will perform, which have not been able to do so far, adding, also, musicians who are participating in the Talent from Home networking initiative.It will be therefore on December 22, in the Auditorium of El Batel, where Beethoven's farewell will take place and the new composer will be welcomed, to whom tribute will be paid next year.In order to involve everyone in the decision of who to pay tribute to in 2021, Entre Cuerdas y Metales will give the option these days to vote through their networks - among next year's ephemeris - to:- Franz Liszt.

To celebrate the 230th anniversary of his death.- Antonio Lucio Vivaldi.
To celebrate the 280th anniversary of his death.On the other hand, the agenda foreseen by the Contest for next year would be as follows: on February 13 the Extraordinary Concert would take place, and on May 14, the Closing Gala of the 23rd edition 2021.To this day, the Entre Cuerdas y Metales program continues with its initiative in networks 'Talent from Home' in which contestants of this 23rd edition, as well as past editions, continue to give viewers unique moments from the hands of great musicians.It is for this reason, and in response to this generosity, that the Youth Department undertakes, when circumstances allow, to count on the participation of these young musicians for future planned actions.
