| The award will be made after the alarm state has been lifted | The session of the Cartagena City Council Contracting Table, held today by telematic procedure, has advanced in the process of bidding for the beach rescue contract in the terms allowed during the state of alarm.

The table has known the valuation report of the different technical proposals of Lot I (surveillance and rescue) to which 5 bidders have attended, two of them in a joint venture.

Lot II (handling of 112 terminals, management of notices and communications and device control) has been attended by 2 bidders.Subsequently, the bidders have been invited to telematically join the session and the financial proposals for both Lot I and Lot II have been opened.All the information has been forwarded to the technical services for evaluation and to continue with the procedure, which cannot go beyond an award proposal that can only be finalized after the alarm state has been lifted.María Amoraga, councilor responsible for Contracting, explained that, “despite the uncertainty about the evolution of the crisis, the City Council's obligation is to have prepared the safety of bathers and assistance on the beaches.

None of this can be done in time if we do not have all the administrative procedures to award these services ready when the restrictions imposed by the state of alarm are lifted.
