The live online broadcasts of the Cartagena salve from the Church of Santa María de Gracia reached an audience on YouTube and Facebook of more than 90,000 people, throughout the nine days they were carried out, as reported by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón.

The mayor has been very satisfied with the result of this initiative that she launched through a faction, so that despite domestic confinement, the people of Cartagena and Cartagena could live from their homes one of the most intense moments of the processions , as is the song of the cartagenera salve in the collection of the processions.

Castejón, who also invited to decorate the facades on his side, has ensured that the residents of the city, its neighborhoods and councils, as well as those who were absent on these important dates, have been able to sing in unison the salve from their homes and to make their voices symbolically reach the temple, which every day opened its doors for it.

The massive follow-up that the Friday broadcast of the municipal YouTube channel had with Dolores, with more than 30,000 reproductions, led the City Council to extend the retransmissions on this channel every day, from Palm Sunday to Easter, and incorporate Starting on Holy Wednesday, the broadcast to its official Facebook page, to account for the more than 90,000 reproductions between the two social networks.

Castejón has also highlighted the amenity and variety that has been tried to give each of the programs that aired a quarter of an hour before the salve.

The design of the realization has been coordinated by the Communication and Protocol Cabinet of the City Council together with the professionals of Onda Cartagena, with the technical support of staff from the Department of Infrastructure, the Creavisual company, Pirotécnia del Mediterráneo, as well as a drum and a bugler from the Marraja Brotherhood.

The collaboration and predisposition of the Bishopric of Cartagena, which through its vicar, José Abellán, has facilitated the daily opening of the doors of the temple and everything necessary to carry out the broadcasts has also been important.

The last of the salves with which Easter was officially closed, took place yesterday, Easter Sunday, at 2:00 p.m.
