Yesterday, Saturday, April 11, Firefighters on duty from the Firefighting, Rescue and Civil Protection Service of the City of Cartagena traveled to the various headquarters of the Local Police, located in La Azohía, Pozo Estrecho, Los Dolores, Plaza de la Merced, El Algar and Cabo de Palos, as well as the central offices of the agents in the Security Park, to proceed to disinfect the exterior areas and the interior common areas.
To do this, a tank-powered pumper vehicle, equipped with water with a disinfectant, and another light vehicle with protective equipment and tools to carry out the internal disinfection were mobilized.
In the exterior areas of the premises it was flushed with the nebulized disinfectant solution and in the interiors they were disinfected on foot, with backpacks and nebulizers attached to the pressurized air bottles of the self-contained breathing apparatus.
As explained by the Councilor for Security, Juan Pedro Torralba, "although these premises are cleaned and disinfected daily by the contracted cleaning service, we have believed it necessary to add additional disinfection from time to time to exterior areas and interior common areas, spraying floors, walls and furniture in places such as lobbies and corridors, toilets, locker areas or locker rooms and in general common use areas â€.
Torralba has recalled the work on the streets carried out daily by Local Police personnel and the exposure they have to contagion, so it is convenient to reinforce the cleaning and disinfection of the dependencies in which they are concentrated and from which they prepare to go out to develop their work.
The councilor has also announced that on the following days the same work will be carried out in other facilities in the Security Park complex, such as the Fire, Civil Protection, Mobile Park and Brigades.
