Every Holy Tuesday in Cartagena the procession of the transfers of the California Brotherhood is celebrated, in which the three Saints, San Pedro from the Arsenal, San Juan from the Artillery Park and Santiago from the Military Government, are carried on their shoulders to the Church of Santa María de Gracia.
Although these transfers will not be able to be carried out this year due to the health crisis, the City Council will try again to show the fervor of the people of Cartagena on this day by inviting all those who wish to sing the Salve, as every night, through the YouTube channel and the municipal Facebook.
In addition, as was done this Holy Monday, previously a special program will be made in which it is planned to include interviews with the three presidents of the groups that participate in the transfer.
The singing of the salve will be preceded by the usual ringing of bells and the opening of doors of the temple.
The broadcast will end with the interpretation of the national anthem and a new bell ringing.
We must remember that this procession is one of the most characteristic of Cartagena, closely related to its military character as a stronghold of the Mediterranean.
