This morning at 12:39 and in a conversation that lasted 14 minutes, I was fortunate to receive the call of His Majesty King Felipe VI.
The King has called me as president of the Board of Brotherhoods and Big Brother Marrajo, knowing that it is an International Holy Week and the negative impact of not going out in 2020. First, he has taken an interest in my family and by the great brother family.
I have thanked him for his concern for the Holy Week in Cartagena and also regretted the tourist setback that suppressing the Processions has meant for the City.
He has shown his solidarity with all the confreres and has encouraged us to live Holy Week in recollection and he has asked me in his name to greet very warmly all the people of Cartagena, all the confreres, all the processionists and all the members of the Holy Week in Cartagena, transmitting to us a message of respect and affection, sharing the sadness for not leaving these ten days, hoping that this period will serve as reflection and hope for the future.
I have told him that the brotherhoods will continue to support the most vulnerable.
And with a very strong hug he said goodbye.
From here I can only express my gratitude for the words that the King has dedicated to us and my satisfaction as president of the Board of Brotherhoods, for his concern for our beloved Holy Week in Cartagena, thanks that I have personally expressed and feelings that I want to share with all the confreres and with the people of Cartagena.
LONG LIVE THE KING OF SPAIN.
VIVA FELIPE VI!
