In July 2019, the Virgin of Charity, patron saint of Cartagena, left for Murcia to be restored with the commitment that she would be in Cartagena in November last year.
We are in its day, April 3, 2020, Friday of Dolores, and in an incomprehensible way it is still there, accumulating months of delays and with the serious disregard of not having had the slightest foresight with the citizens of Cartagena.
However, and how could it be otherwise, with the Virgen de la Fuensanta there was more tact and for a month she left the workshop.
Thus, once again the Ministry of Culture of the Autonomous Community flagrantly fails to comply with Cartagena and will have to explain to us what could have gone wrong for our Patron saint to continue in a workshop in Murcia on her big day in the saddest years that are remembered.
Unfortunately, there are also no news of the announced presentation of the Master Plan of the Cathedral of Cartagena Santa María la Mayor entrusted to Juan de Dios de la Hoz by the Carthaginian Diocese.
Although we understand that it is not advisable to make a physical presentation, with a will you could make a telematic or videoconference presentation, and thus meet the citizens of Cartagena in these days of so much pain and confusion.
