The Cartagena Campus of the Catholic University has published through its accounts on social networks Twitter and Facebook an initiative so that throughout the week of passion citizens publish with this hashtag images of processions from previous years or how they commemorate the Week Santa these days of confinement.
Given the impossibility of social networks filling this 2020 with images of this year's Cartagena processions due to their suppression due to the state of alarm, the headquarters of the Universidad Católica San Antonio in Cartagena has published a proposal so that it does not go unnoticed the Holy Week.
Specifically, citizens are asked to publish photos or videos of the processions of previous years, or how the Cartagena families commemorate the week of passion (for example, on social networks Twitter and Facebook, from today until Easter Monday). singing the salve, decorating windows and balconies, making crafts related to the processions, setting up small family altars, ...).
UCAM will publish an image donated by the City Council of the procession that would correspond to each day on its Twitter account @UCAM_Cartagena and Facebook UCAM.cartagena agrees to share in those images that meet these requirements, in order to give them more visibility and encourage other families to join the initiative.
The Catholic University of San Antonio has been collaborating since its foundation with Cartagena's Easter through the rehabilitation of images and other elements of the processions, the sponsorship of the National Saetas Contest, the twinning with the San Juan Californio Association, ... while The Cartagena Campus makes an effort to learn about this Christian tradition among its students.
