The SABIC Spain Foundation has donated more than 20,000 units of personal protective equipment to the City of Cartagena to fight against COVID-19.
This equipment consists of 10,800 units of sleeves and 9,300 units of aprons, both made of polyethylene, a plastic material, and suitable for sanitary, medical, hospital, laboratory, food and cleaning uses, among others, which have been purchased by SABIC to collaborate with the Cartagena City Council.
Juan Alemany, the Director of the SABIC complex in Cartagena has stated: “SABIC through its Foundation is very proud to have been able to collaborate with the Cartagena City Council in this very difficult situation that COVID-19 has generated, providing protective equipment so necessary right now for the neighbors who continue working for all of us ”.
For its part, the City Council distributed this material on Wednesday, April 1, to the Santa Luca and Rosell hospitals for use by health personnel, as well as in the emergency logistics center opened in the Municipal Sports Pavilion.
The Councilor for Security, Juan Pedro Torralba, thanked Sabic for his collaboration.
