The health crisis caused by the coronavirus is causing the Cartagena City Council to be forced to suspend or postpone most of the events that were planned for this spring.
This complicated situation has led the Department of Youth to also postpone until the fall the 12th edition of the Night of Museums, which was scheduled for May 16.
The Department of Youth has made this determination in response to the health indications of the official organizations and after the communication of the postponement by the International Council of Museums (ICOM).
The councilor for Youth, David Martínez Noguera, recalled that “we are talking about one of the most massive cultural events held in the municipality, bringing together more than 50,000 people in Cartagena.
We cannot risk celebrating it on its date without knowing how long the Alarm State will continue or if it would be a significant risk to the health of all those people. â€
From the organization of the event, aware that this postponement may cause availability problems by the artists who have participated in the presentation of projects, they will contact the people responsible for them at the time the exact date is determined of realization.
