The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has dictated a side in which she encourages the people of Cartagena and Cartagena to adorn their balconies with the insignia of the Easter brotherhoods and to sing the salve from Cartagena, during the ten days in which the processions should have left , as a gesture that “reinforces our feelings of unity and our desire to move forward and move forward in the difficult times we are going throughâ€�

Castejón recalls on his side the "deep roots that passionate parades have in the collective sentiment of our people, since they constitute the oldest of our traditions", so "I invite you all not to stop celebrating it, even if it is from a symbolic form â€�, with a tribute to the patron saint of Our Lady of Charity and so that“ although the streets must remain empty, the facades and the spirit of our municipality are not. â€�

So that the song of the salve can occur in unison throughout Cartagena, its neighborhoods and county councils, the mayor has encouraged local radio stations to broadcast the salve signal live, so that citizens from their balconies can accompany her to the same compass through their receivers.

The singing will take place every day after the doors of the Church of Santa María are opened, through which the processions leave and enter.

On Friday of Dolores at 10 pm, the first of the songs of the salve will take place;

while the rest of the days, until Easter Sunday the singing will take place at 9 pm.

In order to revive the spirit of the parades with greater intensity, the municipal website (www.cartagena.es) will publish, after the Salve song, the procession of the previous year carried out in collaboration with Telecartagena, so that citizens can see it. in their homes, even in the distance.
