The solidarity initiative of the Architect by the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), Jesús Miranda, has achieved its objective.
In just two days, through its non-profit association 'Mi rinconcico del bancal', it has managed 250 reels so that the UPCT's voluntary makers can continue printing 3D healthcare material.
Miranda managed to mobilize dozens of people on the Internet to obtain the necessary material so that the FABLAB group of the UPCT could continue participating, together with makers from all over Spain, in the AIRE initiative (Innovative Help to Create Respirators).
According to Miranda, the volunteers began by printing the 3D visors for the toilets with the material they had at home, but there came a time when they began to be scarce, which is why they decided to ask for help so they could get more material.
The solidarity of dozens of people has made them achieve their goal in record time.
