The Cartagena company Ricardo Fuentes has joined the special Social Emergency Device launched by the Cartagena City Council with the donation of 2 tons of food for the families of the municipality that need it most, which was delivered today, Monday, March 30, in the Central Sports Pavilion, converted into a logistics center, as reported by the Deputy Mayor and head of Social Care, Noelia Arroyo.
Arroyo thanked the La Palma company for its generosity and highlighted the response of Cartagena companies, which with their donations is making easier the work started by the City Council to attend to the families that, during the State of Alarm, require food, hygiene products, medicines.
Companies have made donations and collaborations directly or through institutions such as the Cartagena Chamber of Commerce and the FC Cartagena Business.
Municipal officials and volunteers have counted the new food collections, their storage, classification so that it can be distributed on the days established for large distributions, which are Thursdays and Fridays, although outside these days it continues to serve families who have resorted to the Town Hall.
The Deputy Mayor recalled that in the Unique Social Telephone, 968 021 123, launched today, “any dependent person, elder or family who needs it, has to call this unique telephone that we have enabled.
The objective is that we all stay at home and that any need of any family in the municipality of Cartagena is met during these days through the device that we started with the help of Civil Protection, Food Bank, Social Services professionals, volunteers of the Cartagena City Council and Cartagena companies ”.
