The City Council of Cartagena activates this Monday the number 968 021 123 as the only social telephone number to provide care to Cartagena families in matters of basic food or hygiene needs and for the home transfer of their medication to the elderly or people with reduced mobility, he reported. the deputy mayor and head of Social Care, Noelia Arroyo.
The phone will be answered by telework and in the morning and afternoon by 16 municipal employees from different councils who support Social Services employees, who are in charge of supervising the entire operation and carry out the evaluations of all requests and design the best answer .
“With this this virtual call center we want to improve the telephone response capacity that we started up in the first days of confinement so that any social demand can be raised and solved without leaving home.
We answer the phone and calls are forwarded to the reference professional who studies case by case and contacts each family to apply the most appropriate resources. ”
said the deputy mayor.
In addition, to speed up the procedures, the data processing center computer scientists have developed an application that will allow the information received to be managed and the databases of the municipal social services to be accessed so that the aid is adjusted to the real needs of the families. .
The diffusion of the unique social telephone will be carried out in networks and physical supports through creatives that have been prepared and transferred by FCC Business, which has offered the capabilities of its network of companies to collaborate in the social response that the City Council is carrying out.
Between Thursday and Friday, the city council distributed some 280 packages with food and cleaning and hygiene products to families with special needs.
Deliveries are designed so that food needs are covered between one and two weeks depending on the number of family members.
