New protection and security material has arrived this Saturday at the Orpea nursing home, thanks to a donation from the Department of Citizen Security of the Cartagena City Council.
Police officers have delivered a total of six goggles and 50 divers, with which the workers of the residence, which also has a day center, will be able to carry out their work safely.
This is a new municipal donation, at the request of the residence itself, in addition to the delivery that the body made this week to Health Area 2 of safety material for health professionals.
Specifically, the contribution, which was received by those responsible for the Anesthesiology and Reanimation Service, is made up of 1,000 pairs of gloves, 40 masks and around thirty protective glasses.
"The municipal government's commitment to Cartagena and their safety is total: we do everything in our power to protect them, such as the donations that have been made these days," said the councilor for Citizen Security and Public Roads, Juan Pedro Torralba , who has thanked the work of those who continue to work during this health crisis to safeguard the health of the neighbors.
"It is a priority to stop contagion and protect our neighbors, especially the elderly, due to their special vulnerability, and with these contributions we collaborate with those who care for us so that they can continue working safely," he said.
