At the proposal of the Councilor for Parks and Gardens, Juan Pedro Torralba, the companies awarded services in green areas join the special cleaning and disinfection devices in neighborhoods and councils.

Thus, members of the Ute Actúa-Acciona, Eulen and Contenur will act, with their own means, on urban furniture, benches, areas for pet walks, tree pits, areas of habitual passage for pedestrians or in places of greater influx of people these days, like pharmacies, food stores or health centers.

The works will be coordinated by the municipal technicians from the Infrastructure area, following the instructions they receive depending on the evolution of the virus at the regional and national levels.

This temporary restructuring is scheduled without ceasing to provide the basic service of inspection, control and attention to emergencies that arise.

"It is that in the areas that are the object of each contractor, the workers of each of these companies collaborate in coordination with the street cleaning service and other personnel who already work on public roads," said the councilman.

For this, the Presidents of Neighborhood Boards are also required to report incidents or places of possible concurrence.

For these tasks, companies will put their vehicles and equipment, establishing, among other means, shifts for the protection of the workers themselves.

In this way, as Juan Pedro Torralba has stated, "we join efforts with the usual cleaning tasks, intensifying the activity in certain spaces of concurrence during this time of quarantine."

Special emphasis will be placed "in areas for canine use, in sandboxes and in tree grates of the urban fabric of towns and neighborhoods where there may be more affluence, in which the disinfectant products indicated by the health authorities will be used," said the councilor.

The first disinfections in charge of the contracts will begin as soon as the storm of rain and wind has passed, which has also affected our municipality.
