The Murcian Health Service has requested the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) to have the Alberto Colao university residence available due to the current situation of a coronavirus pandemic.
The ten residents who remain in the building will be relocated to the residence on Calle Caballero, which until now has been closed, as are the rest of the university facilities.
The UPCT made its facilities available to the health authorities on the 16th in case they were necessary in light of the current coronavirus pandemic situation.
The Murcian Health Service has communicated today to the regional educational institution "the need to have availability of as many housing resources as we can specify in the coming days, hours, in order to make use of the facilities as necessary," says the Manager, Isidro Ibarra.
