The Competition for Young Interpreters of the Region of Murcia appeals to all who have passed through it.
Given the circumstances surrounding the spread of the COVID19 virus and the need for its prevention, the Classical Music Competition Between Strings and Metals promoted by the Cartagena City Council, through its Youth Department, and the Cartagena Conservatory of Music and which this year celebrates its 23rd edition, it is postponed until further notice.
That is why Entre Cuerda y Metales proposes to liven up these days and taking advantage of the good platform that social networks give us that the contestants of this 23rd edition delight us with the musical pieces with which they compete in the contest, posting them on their social networks with the hashtag #talentosdesdecasaecym, putting name and title of the work and composer.
The young contestants may also choose to send their videos directly to the email between strings and metals: entrecuerdasymetales@ayto-cartagena.es, authorizing them to be published on the networks of this contest.
This appeal is not only for those who compete this year, but also for all those young musicians who want to liven up the daily day of forced confinement, thus showing their talent.
The Between Strings and Metals Contest is attended by eight modalities: Piano, String, Wood Wind, Metal Wind, Percussion, Plucked String, Voice and Chamber Music.
This 23rd edition is dedicated to Ludwig van Beethoven, in commemoration of the 250th anniversary of his birth.
