Two companies from Cartagena, General Suministros Ballester and Soldapro Ball, yesterday donated thousands of disposable gloves, gowns, goggles and protective overalls to the Santa Lucia Hospital and the Local Police to protect themselves from the spread of the coronavirus.
The Local Police officers were in charge of collecting this material, which they later distributed between the Santa Lucía Hospital and the different municipal departments that have direct contact with citizens and, therefore, are more exposed, such as service personnel. social, police, fire, civil protection, municipal brigades and municipal laboratory.
The Councilor for Security, Juan Pedro Torralba, thanked the solidarity of these companies and placed special emphasis on the collaboration of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs (AMEP), with its president, Nuria Castillo, at the helm.
“From Amep they put us in contact with these companies, whom we thank for their social responsibility and collaboration.
Together we can overcome this pandemic, from which we will emerge strengthened as a society.
Thank you, not only to these companies, but also to all the citizens who are facilitating our work by staying at home, â€highlighted Juan Pedro Torralba.
