Today Tuesday, March 17, the bicentennial of the death of the famous Cartagena actor Isidoro Maíquez is commemorated and, although due to the coronavirus crisis, all the activities scheduled to celebrate this anniversary have been suspended, the Cartagena City Council has wanted to carry out, at least, a simple tribute.
This is the placement, along with its statue located in the Plaza de San Francisco, of a biographical totem with a QR code, which cannot be officially inaugurated due to the state of alarm decreed in recent days.
Thus, the City Council remembers today especially with this act of commemoration, on the bicentennial day of his death, Isidoro Maíquez, illustrious Cartagena who marked a milestone in the conception of the theater and in the dignity of the profession of theatrical actor.
