The government team has decided to suspend the Government Board in which this Monday, March 16, the budget for 2020 would be approved with the aim of adapting the municipal accounts to the new situation caused by the health crisis.
The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, last Saturday requested reports from the Intervention, the Treasury and the Economic Budget Office to delay the approval of the budget and, in this way, be able to adapt it to the new situation generated.
âWe are in a new scenario that requires us to adapt in every way, including the budget.
The government team has been clear from the first moment and so we transferred it to the officials in charge of processing this document on Saturday.
We want to have the new budget as soon as possible because it is a fundamental tool to help those who need it most, "explained the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón.
