The Cartagena City Council started a special cleaning campaign on Saturday with disinfectant for containers and items used in garbage collection, as well as benches and other elements of urban furniture.
The works, which are being carried out by the Lhicarsa concessionaire, are preferably carried out by means of jet cleaning with disinfectant soaps and will be extended during the duration of the health crisis, as reported by the Councilor for Infrastructure, María Casajús.
The works are being carried out along all the waste collection routes by various cleaning teams.
The operators that compose them are equipped with the personal protection elements that are indicated for handling disinfectants.
In parallel, the City Council has designed a protocol to prepare the management of waste from homes and establishments with the presence of people infected with coronavirus, with the aim of giving greater sanitary guarantees to the elimination process and to the operators who carry it out.
