The Polytechnic University of Cartagena postpones the massive non-school activities and events scheduled for the next few days.
The decision has been taken today, following the recommendations of the Autonomous Executive, to prevent the spread of the coronavirus epidemic that is affecting the Region of Murcia.
The non-school activities postponed until now are: Campus Red de Cátedras (12/03), Fiestas de San José (13/03), the Open Day (14/03) and the graduation ceremony of the School of Industrial Engineering (18/3).
The new dates will be announced through the official information channels of the UPCT.
In the emergency meeting held on Wednesday by those responsible for the Ministry of Health and Universities with the rectors of the universities of the Region have decided, for the moment, the teaching activity, classes and exams, but suspend extra events Crowds, such as congresses, conferences, meetings, public events or scheduled celebrations that gather a large audience.
To ensure the quality of teaching, the Vice-Rectorate for Teaching and Teaching Innovation of the UPCT asked the UPCT professors last week to have updated all the teaching material that students may need in the Virtual Classroom in the event that the normal development of classroom teaching activity.
Therefore, through this platform, students have notes, manuals, problem collections, multimedia resources, internship reports and presentations, as well as doing online tutorials.
The Occupational Risk Prevention Service is informing students, professors, members of the Administration and Services Staff, as well as exchange students about the recommendations and hygienic measures of protection against coronavirus.
