A fire of two vehicles that collide in the central point of the underground parking of the Mediterranean Space shopping center has been the simulation recreated at 08:30 hours, this Wednesday, March 11, with victims rescue included.
In the same one corporal and five Firemen, an inspector and two couples of Local Police, and two Civil Guards participated, in addition to the collaboration of 112, UME 061, Chiron Prevention and the security personnel of the facilities.
While the Cartagena Firefighters has been responsible for extinguishing the fire, the task of Local Police has been to cut the entry of vehicles and people to the Mediterranean Space to facilitate the departure of those who were inside.
In addition, the security personnel of the center, upon hearing the fire alarm, have been responsible for alerting the people who were inside the establishments to evacuate through the nearest doors.
These types of actions allow preparing and improving the coordination of the different services in an emergency situation with the objective of minimizing the consequences or human and economic damages that may arise.
