The Cartagena PSOE wants to express its unwavering support for the public employees of the Cartagena City Council in defense of their just and reasonable demands.
Requests that comply with the strict compliance with the Agreement on Working Conditions signed by the municipal government that includes aspects related to their professional dignity and which was achieved through collective bargaining, recognized in the Law of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee.
The workers have been negotiating for years with the municipal officials aspects that should already be implemented as the administrative career and that, today, although there are firm commitments for its application, they have not yet been able to enjoy.
This situation is in contradiction with other administrations and other surrounding municipalities where employees already enjoy this right.
The Socialists have the firm conviction that the negative influence of the PP in the municipal coalition government and the regressive policies of the right are the cause of the suspension of the agreement with public employees.
An agreement signed by a socialist government and that must be fulfilled from the beginning to the end.
We continue to encourage the unity of trade union action as the only way to achieve the restoration of collective rights of workers and we call on the municipal government to channel a negotiation that respects the conditions signed.
