Luis G. Adalid, artist and graphic editor, will present this Thursday, March 12, and as part of the public program of thought and scientific culture of the Department of Culture, Cartagena Piensa, his latest work, "Celebration", photobook edited by Fuedcarta Editions, Madrid 2019.
The event will be at the MURAM (Regional Museum of Modern Art) at 7.30 pm.
This new project by the Cartagena artist, is shown as a purely visual narrative that gathers an experience in which life and artistic activity merge into an intimate relationship with a territory that the author feels as an indispensable part of what he is, of what he It constitutes.
A photobook conceived as a poetic object from which he proposes another necessary sensibility that requires immersion, rubbing, physical contact - not landscape - to restore all meaning and the poetic dimension of those that have been progressively stripped to the place.
It celebrates the encounter, the discovery, the discovery and the fullness felt in that emotional connection with a territory that today inhabits and recognizes as its own.
Environments and places close to Cartagena are the ones that have inspired and forged the creation of this book.
The art critic and Professor of Drawing of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Murcia, Mara Mira, will accompany Luis G. Adalid in a meeting in which the sense of our relationship with our surroundings will be addressed - environment, territory or nature - and the current ways in which we do it.
