The 3rd Edition of + Q Musas Fest raises a thousand euros to help women who suffer ill-treatment (09/03/2020)

The III Edition of + Q Musas Fest, held on Saturday, March 7 as one of the activities prior to International Women's Day, sold out and gathered hundreds of people in the Courtyard of the Faculty of Business Sciences, former CIM, who enjoyed a triple concert led by Marinah Ojos de Brujo and in which Alba Díaz La Negra and DJ Carrie Palmer also participated.

In the musical event the artists were unambiguous protagonists, claiming their worth as creators, as well as the importance of giving space of expression and creation to cultural projects made by women.

The money raised with the sale of tickets, at a symbolic price of two euros and that were depleted, is around 1,000 euros, which will be donated to the Ana Bella Association to help women who suffer ill-treatment.

The cultural event was organized by the City Council of Cartagena through the Department of Equality, with funding from the credits received from the Ministry of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Equality (Secretary of State for Equality);

and the collaboration of the UPCT.

The night opened with the first of the three sessions that Murcia DJ Carrie Palmer would put into practice;

an intense tour of the most current urban and fusion music that managed to make an audience delivered from the beginning of the evening until dawn.

Later it would be the turn of Alba Díaz "La Negra", a Valencian artist, who brought together a large number of followers who, from the first hour of the night, awaited her departure to the stage.

Accompanied by a solid band, she sang an interesting repertoire, in which she intermingles her flamenco roots with soul and pop.

There was dancing and singing both on stage and among the audience.

Near midnight, Marinah made an appearance;

the artist who was the voice of the mythical Catalan fusion group Ojos de Brujo, continues in full form, with a marked ideological discourse for feminism and a concert full of rumba, flamenco, rap, and Cuban leave that made the audience vibrate.

Accompanied by her current band she toured songs from her solo albums as "Guayó" or "Medio Pan", but also with space for some hymns of Eyes such as "Tahitá" or "Ná in the fridge", in addition to advancing several of the songs that will be part of his new album "Heroines" in which he is surrounded by 9 voices of powerful female artists.

Carrie Palmer made the closing and early in the morning to this successful third edition of + Q Musas Fest, an event that has undoubtedly already become essential in the city's extensive cultural offer.
