The Church of Santa María de Gracia hosted this Saturday, March 7, the Resurrexit, the most important liturgical act of the Brotherhood of the Risen and thus opening the way to the rest of the Brotherhood celebrations for the Holy Week in Cartagena.
The temple, recently restored, was the scene of the first great act of Lent, organized every year by the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of Our Father Risen Jesus, which was attended by processionists, as well as civil and military authorities.
The act was chaired by the Brotherhood chaplain, Miguel Solana Gil and was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, the vice mayor, Noelia Arroyo, the deputy mayor, Manuel Padín, the counselor of Education, Esperanza Moreno and the president of the Port Authority, Yolanda Muñoz, among other authorities.
