The Secretaries of Equality and Diversity of the PSOE in Cartagena, Isabel Andréu and Marta García, have positively valued the demonstration that took place today in Cartagena.
Isabel Andreu said that "The PSOE in Cartagena has been present at the demonstration on March 8, where a great feminist atmosphere has been breathed, and the position of women in our society has been claimed," adding that "today is the day to remember and keep in mind all women, but I want to make a special mention to the rural woman, who goes through greater difficulties to achieve full recognition, they have the role of associated caregivers, where they have traditionally relegated them to the domestic space and to work unpaid, while the man has the role of provider or head of household. "
Marta García has stressed that "once again in Cartagena it has been possible to hear and see that in the struggle for equality we are all united. The different groups have taken to the streets to claim an inclusive feminism in which all are more represented ".
Today, a large part of the Municipal Executive of the PSOE in Cartagena has been present at the demonstration for the 'International Women's Day' together with affiliates and supporters who have attended the call we made to attend this important mobilization.
There is still much to do, but we want all women to be and feel LIVE, FREE and SAFE.
That is why we will continue working to achieve real equality between men and women, breaking down stereotypes from another era that the extreme right wants to impose again thanks to the collusion of the Regional Government, to which it has been kidnapped.
That is why we believe that the collaboration of the Government of Spain is fundamental, who is the best ally for the Region of Murcia.
