This Saturday, March 7, the Santa Ana Sports Club will host the IV Regional Open Master Swimming Championship, a competition included in the official calendar of the Spanish Swimming Federation, organized by the Regional Swimming Federation and the Santa Ana Swimming Club.
The Vice Mayor of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo and the Delegate of Sports, Diego Ortega, together with the organizers of the event, Juan Martínez-Losa Ezquerro, Secretary of the Swimming Federation of the Region of Murcia and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sports Club Santa Ana, José Moreno, have attended the presentation of this meeting that will gather in Cartagena more than 250 swimmers belonging to 15 clubs from three communities: Region of Murcia, Valencia and Castilla La Mancha.
It is about half a thousand people, including athletes and family, who will spend a weekend in Cartagena, combining sports and tourism.
As noted by the delegate of the Sports Area, Noelia Arroyo, "it is a benchmark championship in the regional calendar, a very important event because of the size of both the organizers and the swimmers who participate, and that put the swimming boom ".
In addition, the promotion of local monuments and shops during the course of the competition can also help boost the local economy.
From the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena has also congratulated the federation and clubs for the high level they have managed to give the test.
The sport of Cartagena grows thanks to the delivery and self-demand of these clubs.
The effort is the reason that it has been included in the official national calendar and its convening power for swimmers inside and outside the Region.
In the previous edition this event had a great success of public and sportsmanship, which is expected to repeat and increase in this new edition
