CCOO expresses its rejection of the attitude of CSIF and SIME to leave the Crisis Committee of the City Council of Cartagena in which the four municipal unions have been collaborating since January.
Yesterday, March 2, 2020, we have been able to verify how the CSIF and SIME unions have broken the unity pact that we reached the four unions present in the Crisis Committee of the City Council of Cartagena (CCOO, UGT, CSIF and SIME ) to fight against the non-application of the Agreement on Working Conditions signed with Ana Belén Castejón in 2019 and breached by the mayor in this year 2020.
At the meeting of the crisis committee meeting yesterday, March 2, we found that the SIME left it claiming that it was a decision of its Executive.
Then, the CSIF showed its willingness to leave the crisis committee as well.
Both unions were asked if they had had any rapprochement with the municipal corporation to which they replied no.
This lie was demonstrated with a photo that appeared in the local media today, Tuesday, February 3, in which you can see a meeting held last Sunday in a bar in Pozo Estrecho between the mayor and members of the CSIF and the SIME.
From CCOO we believe that this is a parallel negotiation that turns its back on all workers.
Nor do we understand how the mayor, who claimed that she did not meet with the unions because she has the powers delegated to the staff councilor, now does meet only with the CSIF and SIME unions and in a bar.
Nor do we understand that a mayor who calls herself "socialist" turns her back and does not meet with the CCOO and UGT class unions.
From CCOO and UGT we remain united to achieve an Agreement of Working Conditions and a Collective Agreement as signed in 2019.
We appreciate the trust placed in us by all the working people of the Cartagena City Council and we will continue informing.
