The exhibition, the result of the contest organized by the Lyceum Science Women's Association of the Region of Murcia, will be held until March 27 at the Los Dolores Campus.
Continuing with the collaboration initiated by the Catholic University of San Antonio to promote the scientific spirit among the young people of the Region by the hand of the Lyceum group of women scientists of the Science of the Region, the UCAM Campus in Cartagena hosts from today until on March 27 the show "10 women of 10".
This exhibition includes ten explanatory panels of 1x1.5 meters with the photograph of the chosen researcher, her place and date of birth, the studies performed and study center, the discipline to which she dedicated herself, as well as her discovery and anecdotes of her life (childhood, youth, tastes, family, hobbies, life history, vicissitudes ...).
The posters were prepared by students of ESO and Baccalaureate on the occasion of the celebration, this February, of the III Day commemorating the Day of Women and Girls in Science organized by Lyceum on the Los Jerónimos Campus, with the collaboration of the Vice-Rectorate for Research of the UCAM.
These students belong to the Mirasierra, La Inmaculada de Yecla, San Vicente de Paúl (de El Palmar and Cartagena), Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles and El Limonar schools, together with those of the Francisco de Goya and Felipe II Secondary Education institutes.
This sample aims to make known the trajectory of scientists of all time and all branches of knowledge, including a small tribute to the recently deceased Margarita Salas Falgueras, a biochemist of Spanish science.
The exhibition also includes the memory of Montserrat Calleja Gómez, Valentina Tereshkova, Katerine Johnson, Nubia Muñoz Calero, Bárbara McClintock, María Blasco Marhuenda, María del Carmen Martínez Sancho, Ana Mª Lajusticia, Margaritas Salas and Elena García Armanda.
