The programming of Holy Week of Altitudes will start next Friday, March 6, with the kissing of the Captive Christ in the Church of Altitudes, which will conclude with a solemn mass.
This was announced this Friday, February 28, in the presentation of the program and the poster of the Holy Week of the Cartagena delegation in this 2020.
The councilor of the Area of ​​Education, Employment and Business, Irene Ruiz, with the Elder Sister of the Illustrious Brotherhood of the Blessed Virgin of Charity, Juana Sánchez, the secretary, Josefa Solano, was present at the presentation ceremony the Old Brother of the Brotherhood, Jesús Bascuñana, and its president, Miguel Garrido.
The councilwoman, Irene Ruiz, said "that the poster, by Javier Santollo, presents the image of the Patroness of the Virgin of Charity," an image that conveys compassion, pain and mercy.
In addition, he has invited both Cartagena and any tourist "to visit Easter Holy Week and learn about their traditions and customs."
On Friday, March 27, the Proclamation of Holy Week of Altitudes will be held by Francisco Pagán, president of the Board of Brotherhoods of Holy Week in Cartagena.
On Wednesday, April 1 and Thursday, April 2, there will be Triduum in honor of the Blessed Virgin of Charity, and on April 3, coinciding with Good Friday, the Virgin will process through the streets of Alumbres.
