From the PSOE of Cartagena we want to denounce the decision of the Ministry of Education to abolish being a school transport service of the Institute of Secondary Education El Bohío.
The Ministry of Education has given an ultimatum to the families of more than 100 children for which they will not have school transportation for the next course.
Those affected have no choice but to go to the school by their own means, with the enormous difficulties that this entails, forcing them even to walk the almost four kilometers of distance that some of them have to reach the school at Not having another means of transport.
The only alternative they offer to fathers and mothers is that they enroll their children in the IES San Isidoro de Los Dolores, something that the Cartagena socialists find incredible, given that this school is already saturated with a percentage of schooling above the established.
"The PSOE will present a battery of initiatives in the Regional Assembly to force the reverse of the decision of the Ministry of Education that is a very important problem for so many families who have no means to take their children to school." Juan Pedro Montoya, Secretary of Education of the PSOE in Cartagena.
