Carthago Nova 2.0 is a new guided route where the latest technology will be used to transport the visitor to the past and discover the Roman Carthago Nova, thanks to the virtual reality glasses and tablets, which recreate the most relevant city sites.
The route will take place on Sundays of the month of March from 11:30 am, and in it an official guide will explain in a pleasant way the Roman Museum and Theater.
The rooms of the museum will be toured, where Roman theater architecture and political propaganda reflected in its ornamental program are explained.
When you leave the theater, virtual reality will allow you to see the magnificent building with its original appearance, just as it was in ancient times.
The route will continue through the Barrio del Foro Romano, a 3,000 m² site, where with the help of a tablet it will be understood in a didactic and very visual way how the hot springs were, with its three rooms of different temperatures, the Roman banquets of the building of the atrium, with paintings and mosaics, and the rituals of the temple of the goddess Isis.
A way to get to know the old Carthago Nova that can be enjoyed by both adults and the youngest, in an experience that combines archeology and the latest virtual technology.
The price is 15 euros.
CARTAGENA, FLAVOR THREE CULTURES
On the other hand, on Saturdays in March the routes “Cartagena, Tres Culturas flavor” continue.
A route where medieval history is explained by climbing the most populated hill in the thirteenth century, where the Castillo de la Concepcin stands.
From the Tower of Homage you can see the entire city and get the best views.
The route descends to the Roman Theater, where the Church of Santa Mara la Vieja is bordered and in the museum you can see medieval furniture that appeared in the excavations of the site.
After the visit to the theater, the route will end with the tasting of a medieval-inspired tapa.
The departure is from the panoramic elevator every Saturday in March from 11:30 am and the price is 13 euros, 10 euros with reduced entry and 6.50 euros for members of the Cartagena de Puerto Culturas Club.
