The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, met on Monday, February 24 with the new Admiral Chief of the Military Arsenal, Pedro Luis de la Puente García-Ganges, who replaces Aniceto Rosique Nieto, to review all the joint projects between the City Hall and the Navy that will contribute to improving the municipality of Cartagena.
The new Admiral Chief of the Military Arsenal, Pedro Luis de la Puente García-Ganges, born in Madrid in 1960, has a diploma in Naval Warfare, a specialist in Submarines and Submarine Weapons, and a Diver.
He entered the Navy the summer of 1979 and received the office of Officer in 1984, after going around the world in Juan Sebastián Elcano in the third year of his career.
He served in the Diana Corvette for two years and went on to perform destinations in the Submarine Weapon for eleven years, first as Chief of Operations and, finally, as Chief of the General Staff.
In 2019 he was appointed Admiral Commander of the Naval Command of the Canary Islands.
After ascending to Vice Admiral on January 28, 2020, the 31 was appointed Admiral Chief of the Arsenal of Cartagena.
