The City of Cartagena has initiated a crash plan in the municipal plots of Los Urrutias to carry out the cleaning of public plots with the aim of eliminating any danger of new insect pests when future spring and heat rains arrive.
The deputy mayor and councilor of the area of ​​Health, Manuel Padín, has supervised this week the work of the brigades, which have focused on a first phase in the urbanization Estrella de Mar. Once this area is completed, the rest of the area will continue the coastal population to remove dirt from all municipal lots.
"The objective is that the plots that are of our competition are completely clean before the arrival of heat, to avoid problems such as those that arose last year with mosquito pests," said the councilor.
Likewise, the mayor has indicated that the Health area has also been reinforced so that notifications to the owners are enhanced so as to reinforce the maintenance of private lots.
In this regard, the councilor has said that owners will be required to clean their plots through requirements, as is already being done.
In fact, there are already owners who are carrying out these tasks in the municipality.
Manuel Padín has insisted that in those cases in which the owners ignore the municipal requirements, the City Council will order subsidiary executions charged to the owners.
