The Local Government Board, chaired by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved this noon to start the file for the comprehensive modification of the Ordinance on the Protection and Tenure of Pets in the Municipality of Cartagena.
Likewise, it has been approved to carry out a prior consultation between the citizens, through the web portal of the City Council of Cartagena, so that private citizens and animal protectors, as well as as many entities consider it appropriate, can present their objectives on the problems that they are intended to solve with this ordinance;
the need and opportunity for approval;
the objectives of the standard;
and possible alternative regulatory and non-regulatory solutions.
“This ordinance has to be elaborated taking into account the neighborhood and protective demands.
We want to write it with them and that is why we will open the consultation period.
We hope that there will be a lot of participation and that, together, we will be able to count on the best possible ordinance in this matter ”, explained the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón.
The consultation period will be fifteen business days from its publication.
On the other hand, the Government Board has also approved the leasing of the New Circus Theater to develop the cultural program promoted by the City Council.
