The municipality of Galera, in Granada, was this Thursday, February 20 and Friday, February 21, the scene of the Intercultural Dialogue, Phoenicians-Iberians Conference framed in the IV Assembly of the Spanish Network of the Route of the Phoenicians, through the meeting and celebration of activities for the development of cultural tourism such as round tables, promotion and exhibition of 'Phoenician' territories, specific training and training, cultural tourism bloggers and streaming of events in the RRSS channels.
The general objectives of the conference include the exchange and transfer of scientific knowledge between territories of the Program of Cultural Itineraries of the Council of Europe and the Phenician Route, to which Cartagena has joined since 2014.
Another of the proposals is the connection of ancient cultures from the field of research and management (academic / transfer), and from the current promotion of the Intercultural Dialogue in the Mediterranean within the framework of the Cultural Itinerary of the Council of Europe.
During the first day a conference was held on Cartagena and its cultural heritage.
The event was attended by international representatives of the Route of the Phoenicians and representatives of the Spanish Network, a total of 31 partners currently counting between local, provincial and regional public administrations, universities, museums and associations.
Among them are the Provinces of Jaén, Pontevedra, Castellón, Cádiz.
And among the town halls of the network are Linares, Galera, Cartagena, Palma de Mallorca, Baena, Mengíbar, Sagunto, Almanzora-Villaricos Caves, Algarrobo, Ses Salines, Crevillent, Vélez Málaga, Chiclana, Guardamar del Segura, as well as the University of Jaén, University of Cádiz, the Xunta de Galicia or the Autonomous City of Melilla.
