The Agency for Local Development and Employment of Cartagena (ADLE) has closed this Thursday, February 20, the program 'Entrepreneurial Generation Business Growth' in which thirty companies in the municipality participated.
The closing ceremony, held in the Punic Wall, was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the Councilor for Employment, Irene Ruiz.
Specifically, ten businesses, ten hospitality businesses and ten other companies from other ADLE programs have participated in the program.
The thirty companies have received a complete report that summarizes the more than 180 meetings between consultants and managers of the companies that have been carried out to analyze their strengths and in which areas they have capacity for improvement.
The closure has been chaired by the first mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, who stressed that "Entrepreneurial Generation Business Growth is an innovative program at national and European level."
The program, valued at 6,500 euros and funded by the ADLE, has been based on four competitive itineraries: New Technologies;
New forms of business organization;
Innovation Strategy and Cost Control and Profitability.
These itineraries have served to propose a deep and integral intervention in the participating companies.
For this, a total of 150 individual reports have been made to which more than 900 hours of consulting and another 300 hours of information analysis and coordination have been dedicated.
This initiative began on September 30 and although companies have received the final report with proposals for improvement and conclusions, in the next 15 days they will have at their disposal a consultant to contrast and expand any information that
specify.
Another of the novel aspects of 'Entrepreneurial Generation Business Growth' is that each company has made a promotional spot that will be disseminated in the social networks in the coming days and that will serve to make their products and services known.
The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, said that these types of initiatives are ideal "to develop the local economy and increase job creation. The program guides companies and allows them to open
new markets to acquire new skills and abilities. "In addition, he added that" betting on the small and medium enterprises of the municipality is essential for the Cartagena economy to be more competitive and innovative, improve productivity and create wealth. "
Finally, in parallel and to know the interest and the possibility of improvement, a satisfaction survey of the program has been carried out among entrepreneurs.
97% of companies have stressed that the time spent in consulting is applicable to their business, a figure that is repeated when asked about the degree of satisfaction in each of the four areas in which the program was divided.
This high degree of satisfaction adds to the interest that the program has already aroused when it was convened, since in just one day the thirty available places were exceeded.
