The Cartagena Carnival continues this Friday, February 21, in which children and adults will have their special prominence, with a school parade that will tour the center of Cartagena in the morning and a costume party in the afternoon in which Senior club members will enjoy the beautiful at Molinos Marfagones.
SCHOOL CARNIVAL
The school parade, which involves about 1,200 children from seven schools in the municipality of Cartagena, accompanied by teachers and parents, will start 11:00 hours to walk the streets of the city center with costumes made in their own schools
The participating schools are: EE Hazin, CEIP Antonio Ulloa, EE Hazin, CEIP La Concepcion, CEIP Antonio Oliver, Sacred Heart of Jesus Patronage College, CEIP Mare Nostrum and CEE Primitiva López, which will arrive in a bus of about twenty buses.
The head of the Department of Education, Irene Ruiz, plans to participate in the parade.
The tour will begin in the Plaza de Juan XXIII, Santa Florentina, Calle del Carmen, San Roque, Soaphouses, Doors of Murcia, Plaza de San Sebastián, Calle Mayor and end at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
The little ones will wear carnival costumes and costumes made during the last weeks in the schools themselves.

CARNIVAL OF ELDERLY
In the afternoon, the protagonists will become the elders, with their traditional carnival, which this year hosts the Los Molinos Garden at 5:00 p.m.
Once again, the Department of Social Services celebrates Carnival with the Elderly.
During the months of January and February, the workshops in Barriada Virgen de la Caridad, La Manga, La Palma, Molinos Marfagones, San José Obrero, La Aljorra and Santa Ana have been developed. The costumes, accessories and dances and choreographies have been rehearsed, to debut at the traditional Carnival party, to which the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, is scheduled to attend;
the vice mayor and councilor of the Welfare and Sports area, Noelia Arroyo;
the Councilor for Social Services, Mercedes Gómez;
and the Councilor for Security, Participation and Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba.
Then the contest of parades will take place, where the seven registered groups from the neighborhoods named above will perform and the candidates for the Carnival King and Queen will parade.
Next, a lively dance will be held by the Showman Pedro Luís García Cove.
A total of 400 seniors from the different municipalities of Cartagena are expected to attend the party, as well as the 55 seniors from the town of Ogíjares de Granada, who come as guests, accompanied by the Councilor for the Elderly, Fiesta and Tourism of that town .
The event will end with the appointment of the King, Queen and the carnival ladies of greater 2020 and the awards ceremony to the participating groups by the jury: Originality, Sympathy, Staging, Elaboration, Greater Participation, Better Interpretation and creativity.
On Saturday 22, the major groups will go out again to participate in the great parade of Cartagena, accompanied by the float of the king, the queen and their two ladies.
