The Association of Our Father Jesus Nazareno organizes a 75th Anniversary Gala commemorating the arrival of the image in Cartagena for the benefit of the Marraja Foundation, which will be held on March 27 at 9:45 p.m. at the El Batel Municipal Auditorium.
The event was presented this Thursday, February 20 at the Fish Market of Santa Lucia, where the Councilor for Culture, Carlos Piñana, stressed that during the gala the Young Symphony Orchestra of Cartagena (JOSCT), Ana will be staged from Caro and the Marraja Chapel Choir.
The mayor said that from the Department of Culture call on citizens to come and collaborate in this cause.
For his part, the president of the Association, Manuel Hernández, explained that they have decided to focus the commemorative events on the social work, in which this gala is a special event within the anniversary acts.
"The Marraja Foundation has a very broad social work, which we want to reinforce on this 75th anniversary," said the president.
In addition, I thanked the City Council of Cartagena and the Fishermen's Association for their support, "they are coconut with us to make this project a reality that we hope will be a success."
ACTS
The events began last Friday, January 24, with a successful concert by the Music Unit of the Tercio de Levante de Marines, in the Military Parish of Santo Domingo.
Subsequently, they have had a series of conferences that this Monday, February 24, ends with a conference of the chaplain of the Brotherhood in the Marraja Chapel on the spirituality of Jesus Nazarene.
And on Thursday, February 27, the Youth Cry will be held by Sister Marraja, Paloma Sánchez, who will express her feeling towards Jesús Nazareno.
On Friday, March 6, the acts continue with the Exhortation Admonition, by the hand of the Archbishop Emeritus of Seville, Carlos Amigo, and on Saturday March 22 at the Lonja de Santa Lucía there will be a solemn Eucharist by the auxiliary bishop, Sebastián Chico with the subsequent extraordinary procession of the 75th anniversary.
Tickets are already on sale through the auditorium website and at the Batel ticket offices themselves and the price ranges between 10 and 12 euros.
The presentation was also attended by the chief patron of the Fishermen's Association, Bartolomé Navarro and the vice president of the Association of Portapasos-Promesas of the Blessed Virgin of Piety, Alfredo Fresneda.
