VOX Cartagena continues to offer its unconditional support to the State Security forces and bodies and proof of this are the recent achievements.

First, and after the motion presented on January 23, VOX Cartagena pressed for the government to include in the budgets the commitment to expand the vehicles of the Local Police, as well as the construction of a new barracks in Pozo Estrecho.

Secondly, referring to the motion presented on November 26 for the Ordinary Plenary session of 12/4/2019, we also request the urgent installation of barracks in all the councils, with special emphasis on that of Pozo Estrecho.

From VOX Cartagena we celebrate the decision taken by this City Council to accept the measures in which we requested the "improvements of extreme necessity in the Local Police Corps of Cartagena".

We remember that it was from a whim of Ana Belén Castejón, Mayor of Cartagena, when no motion presented by this municipal group was included in the agenda of the January plenary session, but since our formation we did not give up and it was last Friday February 14 when we presented it again, yes, modifying the request of the famous bulletproof vests (Something that had been promised but not being fulfilled for more than 1 year, accelerated after our complaint).

In it we explained that the fleet was not enough, that the vehicles were obsolete and that they had too many kilometers traveled.

Thus, and from now on, we are proud to say that the situation of the Local Police of Cartagena in relation to all the detailed aspects will undoubtedly improve.

It should be noted that VOX Cartagena joined the demonstration in favor of extending the security of all the neighbors that took place in Pozo Estrecho last Sunday, the 16th (of which we previously reported), showing the rejection of the insecurity situation that suffered all the neighbors of the port city.

Now, days later and thanks to the proposals of VOX Cartagena, the construction of a new barracks is announced urgently, something that we celebrate and for which we will continue fighting incessantly.
